Architect Lauri Silvennoinen was one of the pioneers of prefabricated construction in Finland.
He is best known as one of the designers of the viewing area of Helsinki’s Pihlajamäki (1959-1965). Pihlajamäki was the first Finnish residential suburb, built with full-element technology. Today, the area is protected in the site plan.
Architecture Museum have Lauri Silvennoinen’s archive donated by relatives in 1986.
